Marianna was born in Hungary. She travelled the world for many years teaching as well as working in film and music production. She immigrated to Canada in 2001.
Marianna joined Funt & Company as a partner in 2012, having previously articled and practiced at a full service law firm as a litigator. Since that time, she has acted in numerous complex criminal proceedings, including as lead counsel in five jury trials. She also excels as an advocate on behalf of refugee claimants as well as persons detained under mental health legislation.
In addition to maintaining an active litigation practice, Marianna is from time to time an instructor for the Law Society of British Columbia's Professional Legal Training Course.
